Welcome to Topaz Class

Year 6

Hello and welcome to our Topaz class page. Here you will find lots of information about all of the exciting learning that will be taking place in year six this half term. 

We have lots of interesting lessons planned, which link to our Christian concept of community. In geography, we will be visiting Sheffield, via train, to undertake a range of field studies. In PSHE we will be learning more about positive relationships and in science we will be investigating living things in their environments. Keep posted to find out more as the half term progresses. 

Alongside our exciting foundation curriculum, we will be working hard on our maths and English learning, exploring place value and a range of writing genres. In guided reading, we will be focusing on our class text- the girl who walked on air. We are already really enjoying this book! 

Our class are already proving to be an excellent bunch of role-models for our younger pupils. Every member of our class has a role within school, providing them with the opportunity to take on responsibilities and develop their self-awareness. 

We are excitied for the year ahead and can't wait to share more on our class page soon.
