At North Wheatley C of E Primary School, we encourage every member of the school community to Believe, Achieve and Thrive so that they can 'shine as lights in the world’ Philippians 2:15.
Every Friday afternoon, the whole school gathers to take part in our weekly Shiny Assembly! We celebrate pupils' academic and personal achievements both in and outside of schools.
A Gold Achievement and Gold Behaviour certificate is awarded to a child in each class. Whole school awards include the Widom and Christian Values Cups, Mighty Mathematician, WOW Writer and Lunchtime award.
We also celebrate pupils who have received gem powers and the good choices made by pupils by selecting a winner from the good choice critter box. Reading at home is greatly encouraged, with pupils receiving a stamp for reading at least three times every week. This is celebrated every week. with a half termly celebration for those pupils who have earned their half-termly reading stamp.
We encourage children to bring in certificates and awards or share photos and videos of their achievements outside of school on seesaw so that these can be shared with the whole school. Pupils celebrated in the Shiny Assembly are added to the achievement mountain.
Well done to all the children who received their 1st half-termly celebration reading stamp. Stamps are awarded to pupils for reading at least 3 times a week at home. The half termly celebration stamp is awarded to pupils who received their weekly stamp every week (or 6/7 weeks) during the 1st half of the autumn term.
