Our Gem Powers

At North Wheatley C of E Primary School, we have taken on board the 'Gem Project' which was introduced by Dr. Tom Robson.  The Gem Project centres around six Gems, linked with learning powers. 

These powers help children to become, independent and life-long learners.  Gems are awarded to pupils who display these learning powers, developing the skills of an effective learner. 

Whilst all pupils have the opportunity to earn all of the Gem Powers every day; each class throughout school has been given a 'Gem' identity, where they are focusing on developing that particular Gem learning power throughout the year.  This gives pupils the opportunity to develop the 6 gem powers in depth by the end of their education at North Wheatley, embedding positive learning behaviours for their future learning.
