At North Wheatley C of E Primary School, we have taken on board the 'Gem Project' which was introduced by Dr. Tom Robson. The Gem Project centres around six Gems, linked with learning powers. These powers help children to become independent and life-long learners. Gems are awarded to pupils who have displayed these learning powers.
Whilst all pupils have the opportunity to earn all of the Gem Powers everyday; each class throughout school has been given a 'Gem' identity, where they are focusing on developing that particular Gem learning power throughout the year. This gives pupils the opportunity to develop all the learning powers in depth by the end of their education at North Wheatley and having the positive learning behaviours embedded for their future learning throughout their lives.
