What a wonderful experience!
We were feeling incredibly lucky this week as the Tour of Britain passed by our doorstep ... quite literally. The build-up, with road closures, sirens, and lots of police bikes, to the team cars, spectators, and main event itself; was simply brilliant!
A school of happy and excited children who were not only wowed by the event but also very impressed that they made it on to TV.
Gate To Southwell (GTSF) Festival is a fantastic local roots and acoustic music Festival in the heart of Nottinghamshire!
This year they have ran a 'Decorate Your School Gate' Competition for all of Nottinghamshire Primary Schools, Pre-Schools and Nurseries to help spread the word about how family friendly this festival is! All we had to do it decorate our gate with the theme of 'Here Comes The Sun'
The children in Night Owls had great fun creating art work for the gate and we have had great fun enjoying all their hard work. Well done everyone! It looks wonderful!
The amazing staff at Sheffield Children’s Hospital have been going above and beyond for our patients and families. To say thank you, the North Wheatley C of E Primary community went above and beyond for them by taking part in Team Theos Pyjama Day! And what an amazing effort they made. Not only did they look fabulous, they also managed to raise a huge £331.00 (+ 61.28 Gift Aid).
Thank you to everyone who donates. Every penny raised goes towards changing the lives of hundreds of children.
We were delighted to receive this special thank you card and bear from the Charity Team!
The Church were so impressed with the work that the children had done for Armistice Day that they put up a display in church and changed their Act of Remembrance to include some of their poems.
Well Done Year 5 & 6!
The year 5 & 6 children will be taking part in the community Remembrance service which will take place at 10.30am on Friday 11th November at St Peter and St Pauls Church.
The children were lucky enough to meet a local veteran who shared his experiences and answered many of the children's questions, helping the children gain an insight into a personal perspective on Remembrance. The children in years 5 & 6 will be reflecting on this experience as part of their contributions during the service.
By donating to the Poppy Appeal you’re helping us provide ongoing vital support to the Armed Forces community, ensuring their unique contribution is never forgotten.
Your poppy shows you care.
The pupil governors will be selling poppies and other items, as displayed in the image below, during break times.
