Meet our amazing Sports Leaders
Our pupils were invited to apply for the role of a sports leader,. The successful applicants were then involved in two days of training working with Premier Education, where they were taught the important skills needed to organise active play and lunchtime activities.
Physical activity and exercise is vital for maintaining positive physical and mental health and is linked to better general health, stronger bones and muscles, and high levels of self-esteem. In addition to this, it plays an important role in allowing children to cope with such unprecedented times.
The recommended daily activity for children is 60 minutes per day which can include daily activities such as walks, playing in the garden, climbing the stairs or riding their bike.
Below are some suggested active minute challenges for your child to take part in, in addition to what they may already be doing. Please do share through your seesaw /tapestry with the heading ‘Active minutes’ or in their PE file and I will look out for them
