Physical activity and exercise is vital for maintaining positive physical and mental health and is linked to better general health, stronger bones and muscles, and high levels of self-esteem. In addition to this, it plays an important role in allowing children to cope with such unprecedented times.
The recommended daily activity for children is 60 minutes per day which can include daily activities such as walks, playing in the garden, climbing the stairs or riding their bike.
