Part Time KS2 Teacher 21 hours per week (0.76 FTE)

with opportunities for additional supply hours

Location: North Wheatley C of E Primary School, Sturt on Road, South Wheatley, Retford, Notts.

 

The Children, Staff and Governors of our warm and welcoming village school wish to appoint a creative, ambitious, dynamic and positive thinking KS2 Teacher from November 2024.

We are looking for a teacher with previous KS2 experience and excellent collaborative and organisational skills, who can work flexibly across our three KS2 classes.

 

The role will include:

•             Working in collaboration with the current year 6 teacher, planning and delivering learning for 4 afternoons a week.

•             Work in collaboration with KS2 staff to plan and deliver 1 afternoon and 1 morning a week across KS2, covering learning in core and foundation subjects.  

 

PPA is included in the 21 hours contract  and can be taken at home or in school on one of the three untimetabled mornings. Additional supply hours will be available on an ad hoc basis.

•             have the ability to develop strong relationships with parents, governors and the community and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive and driven team. 

•             has recent experience of teaching in KS2.

•             is able to work collaboratively to ensure a consistent learning environment.

•             is well organised and adaptable; can respond effectively to the diversity of the role.

•             can be a creative classroom practitioner who inspires children to be the thinkers and doers of the future, through a passion for creative, hands-on learning that that sparks children’s curiosity.

•             is dedicated to ensuring that every child makes excellent progress through well planned learning journeys that inspires pupils to ‘be the very best that they can be’.

•             can maintain our high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour.
